Delaying treatment is unnecessary, painful, and can lead to dangerous complications. At Harrison Pointe Dentistry, we offer same-day emergency appointments. Our goal is to relieve your pain and address any damage to your teeth to avoid extraction.

Dr. Lyle is experienced in treating all dental emergencies, from traumatic sports injuries to toothaches caused by dental caries. Immediate pain relief and stabilization of the damaged tooth or teeth are her priorities, followed by every effort to save the teeth and preserve oral health. Emergency patients are treated with compassion and understanding.
What is a Dental Emergency?
Anything that puts the health of your teeth, gums, or jawbone at risk is considered a dental emergency. Severe tooth pain should also be considered an emergency, as it often indicates an underlying infection or abscess. Some reasons to see an emergency dentist include:
- Toothache
- Inflamed gums
- Knocked out tooth
- A missing or loose dental crown
- Jaw pain
- Infection or abscess
- Broken or missing filling
- Extreme sensitivity to hot and cold
If you have any of the above symptoms, even without pain, contact our office at Harrison Pointe Dentistry Office Phone Number 919-466-0076 for an emergency appointment. A damaged tooth may not cause pain, but a small chip or break in the enamel can lead to bigger, more expensive problems if not fixed. Early intervention is needed to save a damaged tooth.
What Do I Do if My Tooth is Knocked Out?
If a permanent tooth is knocked out, make every effort to preserve it and bring it to your appointment. Pick the tooth up by the crown, never the roots. Rinse the tooth with cool water and replace it in the socket. If this is not possible, put the tooth in milk or water. It is important to keep it moist to improve the chances of successfully placing it back in the mouth.
Call our office at Harrison Pointe Dentistry Office Phone Number 919-466-0076 IMMEDIATELY if your tooth has been knocked out. We typically see emergency dental patients the same day to improve the odds of saving your tooth.
If your child’s baby tooth has been knocked out, do not try to replace it in the mouth. Contact us for instructions.
